PRICES VARY ACCORDING TO DIFFICULTY OF THE PATTERN & QUILTING
We will be happy to answer any questions concerning our quilts or pricing. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
But, a general guideline is as follows:
For quilting only of a finished top, we furnish 80/20 cotton/polyester batting at $4.00 per yard, you furnish top and back.
Please allow four inches width and eight inches length for your backing fabric above the width and length of your quilt top. We return all unused backing fabric.
For simple edge-to-edge quilting by pantograph, the cost is $0.015 to $0.025 per square inch, depending upon the complexity and density of the template design.
For more dense edge-to-edge quilting by pantograph, the cost is $0.026 and up per square inch depending on amount of thread used, complexity of design and size of quilt.
For custom, free-hand quilting, the pricing can start at $0.04 per square inch and up, depending upon the complexity of the pattern.
You can get an idea of the overall price for the quilting by first measuring your quilt top's length and width. Then you multiply length times width (L x W) and that will be the total number of square inches. You then multiply the number of square inches by the price(s) above ([L x W] = Inches x Price = Cost).
Please allow an extra 2" width and 8" length on each side larger than the quilt top (example: if quilt top is 50 x 40, your back should be 58 x 44).
Trimming extra edging off after quilting is no charge. However, we do charge extra to square the quilt, prices given after we have looked at the quilt.
When we finish your quilt, we trim back to the quilt top through all layers. If you want your quilt back to be your binding, then let us know beforehand, and we can position the quilt prior to quilting so that there will be backing enough to do your binding. We will leave the batting no longer than the back and you may trim it yourself according to how you want to bind your quilt.
You can arrange to either drop off your quilt top and back for quilting OR send by parcel post, insured please, with delivery confirmation. If you ship your quilt to us, we will return it to you, along with any trimmed fabric that remains from your quilt back, by parcel post, insured, with delivery confirmation, adding shipping charges to your total cost.
